His expertise in land acquisition played a critical role in Tricon’s ability to control costs and maximize the potential of each development. Jose has a degree in business administration and economics from the University of St. Thomas.

Tristan Berlanga

Co-Owner & Principal

At the helm of architecture and design direction was Tristan Berlanga. Tristan has a degree in architecture and environmental design from the University of Houston and was the source of their passionate commitment to quality in design, material selection, and construction.

Company History

The growth and presence of Tricon over a span of over 20 years can be seen throughout many neighborhoods as is shown in the hundreds of projects, many shown on the GALLERY page. Their contribution to the renaissance and renewal of the community in each neighborhood was the foundation of their success. The legacy of their work is evident in the collection of Victorian style homes found throughout the tree-lined streets of the Greater Heights as well as in the more contemporary and modern-rustic lofts that abound the streets of inner Houston’s city neighborhoods.

Over the years, Tricon Homes became a well respected builder and garnished a reputation for their versatile designs which integrate the prevalent architectural styles of the area into the exterior design, while offering open living spaces and practical floor plans that are conducive to a modern lifestyle. Tristan has a degree in architecture and environmental design from the University of Houston and is the source of their passionate commitment to quality in design, material selection, and construction. The talents of each brother compliments the other and by collaborating on each project they were able to showcase their individual strengths in a unified fashion .Their synergistic partnership drove business growth every year since the company was founded in the late 1990’s.

Presently, Tricon has begun a new chapter in their story, and their owners have decided to shut down their current operation to focus more on their family as well as other ventures which will surely make the best use of their experience, resources and talent in the field.
