Neil Chander leads Tricon’s Tax Strategy & Oversight function, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and external stakeholders on strategic initiatives, transactions, and investment structures across the Company’s U.S. and Canadian operations. He oversees tax planning and advisory efforts related to corporate and real estate transactions, manages tax advocacy initiatives, and provides strategic direction on complex cross-border tax matters.
Prior to joining Tricon, Neil was a Partner and Real Estate Tax Leader at RSM Canada. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Taxation at QuadReal Property Group, where he led the global tax function and advised on Canadian, U.S., and international real estate acquisitions, divestitures, and joint venture structures. Earlier in his career, Neil held senior executive roles at Dream Unlimited and Colliers International where he served as a key international tax advisor.
Neil holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Mathematics/Honours Chartered Accountancy from the University of Waterloo. He is both a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). A recognized thought leader in international real estate taxation, Neil has spoken at leading industry forums including NAREIT, the Tax Executives Institute, and the American Bar Association.
