How do I begin the move-out process?

To begin the move-out process, you must submit an official Notice to Vacate.

Your Notice to Vacate must be electronically signed by all leaseholders. Most leases require at least 60 days written notice before you move out, though some states have shorter requirements, so please review your lease carefully before submitting your notice.

When submitting your Notice to Vacate, you'll also be asked to provide:

• Reason for moving: Why you are choosing to move out
• Forwarding address: Where Tricon should send your Move-Out Statement and any applicable refund
• Pre-Move-Out Inspection preference: Whether you would like to request an optional Pre-Move-Out Inspection

Once your Notice to Vacate is submitted, Tricon will send detailed move-out instructions to help you prepare.

What is a Pre-Move-Out Inspection?

A Pre-Move-Out Inspection is an optional walk-through of your home before you move out.

During the inspection, a member of our team may identify cleaning or repair items that could affect your security deposit refund. This gives you time to address those items before your final move-out inspection.

A Pre-Move-Out Inspection can help reduce common move-out charges, but it does not guarantee a refund.

What is the Move-Out Inspection?

The Move-Out Inspection is the final walk-through of your home after you have moved out.

This inspection is used to document the home’s condition and determines whether any move-out charges apply, such as charges for damages, cleaning, or other lease-related items

When will I receive my security deposit back?

Security deposit refunds are processed after we complete a move-out inspection to assess any cleaning, needed repairs, or damages beyond normal wear and tear.

Once that is done, we will mail your Move-Out statement and any applicable refund due to your forwarding address.

What if I need to cancel my move-out or extend my lease?

If you need to cancel your Notice to Vacate or extend your lease, please contact Tricon as soon as possible at 844-874-2661.

Options may vary based on your home, lease status, and whether the home has already been leased to a new resident. A member of our team can review your account and walk you through the options available.

Where do I leave keys, remotes, and HOA passes on move-out?

Please leave all original keys and any copies, along with remotes, access cards, fobs, and HOA passes, on the kitchen counter in plain sight before leaving the home.

How do I forward my mail?

You can easily set up mail forwarding through the U.S. Postal Service.

We also recommend updating your address with your bank, employer, and any subscription services tied to your current home address.
